"When my mother first asked me if I was interested in auditioning for the 4 Quarters event I was interested but I wasn’t

sure because I didn’t know what it was all about. She gave me more information and it sounded like something I would like to do.

When I arrived at the audition, I was nervous because I thought it would be a private audition but I ended up having a good time. After my performance for the audition, the judges gave me feedback.  I was surprised to hear how many people enjoyed what I was doing and who had been following my dance experiences so far.  When I left the audition I was nervous to find out if I had made the cut. A few days later my mother came home and surprised me with the news that not only had I been chosen to be a part of the event, I was also chosen to headline it. I felt really excited and honored!

The actual event was the day after I returned from a week long Nationals Dance Convention in Orlando, Florida and I was exhausted. I wasn’t sure how I would perform but I knew I would try my best. When I got to the event I was surprised to see all the people there to support me and I appreciated how the 4 Quarters staff went out of their way to make sure that the performers and I had everything we needed to feel comfortable and ready to perform. The reserved VIP section they prepared for me made me feel very special.

During the show I gave it my all when I performed. When I was on stage I wasn’t sure if people were going to like what I was going to do, but I was excited when I heard the audience’s reaction.  I had a great time meeting and getting to know the other performers. I made some new friends that I still keep in touch with! Overall, this experience was a great milestone in my life,  as it was my first time being asked to head line a show! I am grateful to everyone who supported and continues to support me and to the all of the 4 Quarters Staff! All of that talent under one roof was amazing. I loved having the opportunity to share my gift with others."
